Retreat Reflections - A Poem

Beauty...
...in late spring breezes exciting fields of young barley into Mexican waves.
Beauty...
...in verdant grasses refreshed by late spring rains,
sprinkled with coloured gems of Speedwell, Cranesbill and Buttercup
A visual 'Rhapsody in Green'.
Beauty...
...in chattering, urgent Larksong,
Whitethroat's fulsome melody and Jackdaw's carefree 'Cha'
Enriching the Meadow Soundscape.
Beauty...
...kisses of the Divine on humanity's face
Poetry in humanity's ear
Beauty for the eye of the beholder.
No other purpose but to charm, to woo,
to caress the human soul in love.
Beauty...
...Sacred Romancer, I receive your love,
I return your kiss.
